Congratulations on the purchase of your new Aptiva E-Series system. You are about to embark on an exciting journey of home computing. We're very pleased that you have selected the IBM Aptiva system.

At IBM, we're focused on providing the best possible computing experience for our customers. To accomplish this, we have ongoing efforts focused on the quality of our products. It has come to our attention that there is a new Microsoft requirement for monitor color matching.  In order for you to have the latest color matching technology, we are including this update on diskette.  The update will allow programs to provide color consistency among monitors, scanners, and printers.  The diskette includes the color matching profile for IBM 2122, 2124, 2126, and 2127 monitors.

To install the enclosed update:

1.	Turn on the computer.
2.	From the Windows 95 desktop, click on the Start button.
3.	Select Settings then Control Panel.
4.	Double-click the Display icon.
5.	From the "Display Properties" window, select the Settings tab.
6.	Click the Advanced Properties button.
7.	Select the Monitor tab.
8.	Click the Change button.
9.	Click the Have Disk button.
10.	Insert the Monitor Color Matching diskette into the diskette drive.
11.	When you see the "Install From Disk" window, click the OK button.

	Windows 95 will automatically select the correct name of your monitor.

12.	Click the OK button.

	Windows 95 will copy files from the diskette to the hard drive.

13.	When the process is finished, click Close and close any of the windows you opened on the screen.
14.	Remove the diskette from the diskette drive and store it with other diskettes or CD-ROMs which may have come with your computer.

Once you have installed the update from the diskette, your monitor will provide consistent color with scanners and printers you may have attached to your computer. For more information about installing this upgrade, please refer to the "readme.txt" file on the diskette.
