Installation Guide ------------------ For Windows 98 1. Start Windows 98. 2. Extract the drivers onto the hard drive. 3. Click on 'Start' -> 'Settings' -> 'Control Panel'. 4. Open the Display icon. 5. Click on the 'Setting' tab. 6. Click on the 'Advanced...' button. 7. Click on the 'Adapter' tab. 8. Click on 'Change...' button. The "Update Device Driver Wizard dialog" box appears. 9. Click on 'Next>' button. 10. Select 'Display a list of all the drivers in a specific location, so you can select the driver you want'. 11. Click on 'Next>' button. 12. Click on 'Have Disk...' button. 13. Specify the directory where the driver files are extracted and click on the 'OK' button. The Video Driver list will appear. Default path is C:\DRIVERS\W9X\DISPLAY. 4. At the Select Device window, you may be presented with multiple Display adapters to choose from: 'IBM ThinkPad(Cyber9397)', 'IBM ThinkPad(Cyber9397DVD)' or 'Trident Cyber 9397DVD PCI/AGP'. - ThinkPad 770, 770E, 770ED user's should use 'IBM ThinkPad (Cyber9397)' - ThinkPad 770X user's should use 'IBM ThinkPad(Cyber9397DVD)' - ThinkPad 770Z user's should use 'Trident Cyber 9397DVD PCI/AGP' 15. Click on the 'Yes' button if the 'Update Driver Warning' dialog box appears. 16. Click on 'Next' button. 17. Click on 'Finish' button. 18. Click on 'Close' button. 19. Click on 'Close' button in Display Properties dialog. 20. Windows 98 prompts you to restart the computer to make the display driver change effective. For Windows 95 OSR2(OEM Service Release 2) 1.
