Magic: The Gathering 
Assertion/AddCard Errors

In order to correct the Assertion or AddCard errors (especially in
Shandalar), please follow the instructions below depending on which 
version of Magic: The Gathering you have:


If You Have Only the Original Magic: The Gathering 
==================================================
If you own only Magic: The Gathering for the PC, installing the Magic
1.25 update will correct the Assertion and AddCard errors.

You can download the Magic 1.25 update file from www.microprose.com 
from the Tech Support area. Make sure to first download all three 
1.25 update files (MTGV125A.EXE, MTGV125B.EXE and MTGV125C.EXE) and
then install them in alphabetical order.


If You Have the Original Magic: The Gathering with ManaLink
===========================================================
If you own Magic: The Gathering for the PC and have also downloaded 
and installed the large version (60MB) of ManaLink, install the ManaLink 
1.3 update to correct the Assertion and AddCard errors. (Be sure NOT to
install any other Magic updates except the ManaLink 1.3 update.) 

You can download the ManaLink 1.3 update file for your language version
from www.microprose.com from the Tech Support area. Make sure to read 
the Readme file that is located below the update file.

U.S. version of the ManaLink 1.3 update = MTG_13US.EXE
French version of the ManaLink 1.3 update = MTG13FR.EXE
German version of the ManaLink 1.3 update = MTG13GR.EXE
Italian version of the ManaLink 1.3 update = MTG13IT.EXE
Spanish version of the ManaLink 1.3 update = MTG13SP.EXE


If You Have Magic: The Gathering and Spells of the Ancients
===========================================================
If you own both Magic: The Gathering and Spells of the Ancients but have 
NOT installed ManaLink, you MUST first install the smaller version (7MB)
of ManaLink and then the ManaLink 1.3 update in order to correct the 
Assertion and AddCard errors. 

You can download the ManaLink files for your language version
from www.microprose.com from the Tech Support area. Make sure to 
first download the smaller version of ManaLink specifically for 
Spells of the Ancients owners (not the larger 60MB version). Then 
download the ManaLink 1.3 update file. Be sure to read the Readme 
files for ManaLink.

U.S. version of ManaLink for Spells of the Ancients = ML_SOTA_US.ZIP
French version of ManaLink for Spells of the Ancients = ML_SOTA_FR.ZIP
German version of ManaLink for Spells of the Ancients = ML_SOTA_GR.ZIP
Italian version of ManaLink for Spells of the Ancients = ML_SOTA_SP.ZIP

U.S. version of the ManaLink 1.3 update = MTG_13US.EXE
French version of the ManaLink 1.3 update = MTG13FR.EXE

If You Have Duels of the Planeswalkers

If you own Duels of the Planeswalkers by itself or with any other Magic 
product, you already have ManaLink. Therefore, all you need to do is 
install the ManaLink 1.3 update to correct the Assertion and AddCard 
errors. You can download the ManaLink 1.3 update file for your language 
version from www.microprose.com from the Tech Support area. Be sure to 
read the Readme file that is located below the update file.

U.S. version of the ManaLink 1.3 update = MTG_13US.EXE
French version of the ManaLink 1.3 update = MTG13FR.EXE
German version of the ManaLink 1.3 update = MTG13GR.EXE
