Q:Why does the game say I do not have enough conventional memory ?
A:Master of Orion requires 600 K of conventional memory. If you do not have enough conventional memory it is because you are loading too many programs which use memory below 640K. Programs which use this  memory include Smartdrive, CD-ROM drivers , and Disk compression. The  solution to this is problem is to remove programs which use this  memory or load them high. This can be done by creating a boot disk or, by modifying your existing CONFIG.SYS and AUTOEXEC.BAT.

Q:Why does the game say I don't have any EMS memory ?
A:EMS memory is a method of configuring the memory above 1024K. It is set up by the EMM386 line of your CONFIG.SYS file. An example EMM386 line for a DOS system: DEVICE=C:\DOS\EMM386.EXE 1024 RAM. The  number "1024" sets up 1024K of EMS. To set up EMS on your system, create a boot disk or modify your existing CONFIG.SYS.

Q:How do I install the update?
A:Copy the update files in to the directory the game is installed in.

Q:Is the CD-ROM version different from the disk version.
A:No. 

Q:How do I update the CD-ROM version of the game?
A:Copy the game directory of the CD-ROM  to the directory the game is installed in. Example: XCOPY D:\GAME\*.* C:\MPS\ORION /S, Deletete the file ORION.COM, if it exists,  run the install program in the MPS\ORION directory to set up the sound and install the update.
