================================================== Customer Support Information FAQ (Frequently Asked Questions) Last revised: 27 April 1999 ================================================== How to Return Defective Materials ================================= If your game manual or CD-ROM is damaged or defective, you can return that item to Customer Support for a replacement. Send only the item to be replaced, not the whole game package. You must also include a photocopy of your receipt showing the date of purchase, not the date when you "registered" your game with MicroProse. Your 90-day warranty period begins with the date of purchase as shown on your receipt. MicroProse is not responsible for items lost in the mail. We suggest that you insure, register or certify your mail. How to Replace Disks, CD-ROMs and Manuals ========================================= Mail in the defective materials with a note explaining the problem, your return address and your phone number including area code. If you purchased the game within the last 90 days and you have the sales receipt, there is no charge for the replacement. Important: please send us a copy of the sales receipt along with your note and materials. After the 90-day warranty has expired, replacements cost: Floppy disks = $10 for the complete set CD-ROMs = $10 for the complete set Manuals = $10 (or $5 for Classic Series and Players Choice titles) Disk exchange to 3.5" disks = $10 for the complete set (Note that we no longer carry any 5.25" floppy disks) Quick reference card = $3 (proof of purchase is required) Keyboard overlay = $3 (proof of purchase is required) How to Get Update or Patch Disks ================================ To get the latest update or patch disks for our games, please do one of the following: 1) Log onto our World Wide Web site at www.microprose.com. 2) Log onto our FTP site at ftp.microprose.com. 3) If you prefer U.S. mail, call our Customer Support line at 510-864-4550 (Monday through Friday 9:00 am to 5:00 pm Pacific Time).
