Brand new third generation (B01 PCB) GGLABS CGA2RGB digital RGBI to analog RGB converter for Commodore 128, 128D and IBM PC with CGA card. Improved visual quality, better compatibility with some GBS units (V02 GAL code) and additional header footprint for easier integration with third party cases. Compatible with the Gonbes GBS-8200/8220 for a complete C128 80 column to VGA/LCD solution. (Gonbes converter is not included with this listing) Exact CGA palette (handles brown correctly). DB9M input and HD15M output. Can be connected directly to the C128 or to the GBS-8200 (recommended configuration for best picture quality). Requires 5V DC for power. If the power is taken from the GBS-8200 P9 please make sure you power the GBS -8200 with 5V as the converter will be damaged by higher voltage. Jumper to select between 2V composite Sync (required for GBS-8200) or 5V separate H-Sync and V-Sync for 15KHz capable monitors. Designed and assembled in USA with all new components. Documentation and support available at gglabs.us 1- yes, the pin marked +5V is the positive. 2- the device will use less than 100mA so a USB charger should be ok. I usually take the power from the gonbes. 3- on J4 there should be a small * that marks pin 1. (pin 3 is the one closest to the board edge)
