SYSTEM CONFIGURATION:  Compaq Audio Enabled connecting through IBM SDLC
card.

DESCRIPTION:

        FMSYNTH.EXE disables the FM Synthesis port (0388h) on the Compaq
        XL machine.  The IBM SDLC card requires ports 0380h-038Fh to
        function properly.

NOTE: This same problem may occur on other vendors' computers with Sound
      Blaster compatable audio. This is not a Compaq specific problem.

HOW TO USE:

Copy FMSYNTH.EXE to the harddrive, and execute pior to running IBM SDLC
software.  FMSYNTH simply toggles the FM Synthesis, simply execute FMSYNTH
to re-enable FM Synthesis (Note: IBM SDLC card will stop functioning once
FM Synthesis is Enabled).
