DESCRIPTION: SYSMGMT.SYS (dated 01-12-95) has been modified to correct a problem where the Health driver (SYSMGMT.SYS) is incorrectly logging an error condition of invalid FAN or TEMPERATURE shutdown. Under certain conditions, multiprocessor systems can lock-up due to the incorrect logging of the error. SYSMGMT.SYS is the Window NT System Health driver from Compaq that supports system management reporting when used with the Compaq Insight Management Utility and the NT System Management Agents. This condition only occurs on ProLiant 2000 and ProLiant 4000 systems. SUPERSEDES: SP1063 HOW TO USE: 1. After downloading the SoftPaq, copy it to an empty directory on your hard drive and change to that directory. If downloaded in zipped format (.ZIP), unzip the file to create an executable: PKUNZIP SP1090 2. From that drive and directory, execute the SoftPaq file to unbind the primary files: SP1090 [ENTER] The following files should be created: SYSMGMT.31 SYSMGMT.35 SETUP.CMD CPQDISP.EXE VER_INFO.EXE README.TXT 3.
