DESCRIPTION:  The Options ROMPaq diskette allows a user to upgrade the the ROM Firmware images for Compaq System product Options and Hard Drives.
Enhancements/Fixes:
* Updated Firmware support for the Compaq SMART Controller (Version 2.08)
* New PCI Video Controller Update (Version 5.35)

HOW TO USE:

1.  After downloading the SoftPaq, copy it to an empty directory on your hard drive and change to that directory.  If downloaded in zipped format (.ZIP), unzip the file to create an executable:  PKUNZIP SP1136

2.  From that drive and directory, execute the SoftPaq file to unbind the primary files:  SP1136 [ENTER]

3. Obtain two (2) formatted 1.44MB diskettes.

DISK #1 -- OPTIONS ROMPaq for the Compaq Fast SCSI-2 Hard Drives and Smart SCSI Array Controllers

DISK #2 -- OPTIONS ROMPaq for COMPAQ SCSI DAT Tape Drives, Compaq Tape Drives, and PCI Video Support.

4.  The Options ROMPaq diskettes are self booting diskettes.  Please place each ROMPaq diskette into your drive A: diskette drive and power cycle your system to update the appropriate components.
