DESCRIPTION:  The Options ROMPaq diskette allows a user to upgrade the ROM Firmware images for Compaq System product Options and Hard Drives.

Enhancements/Fixes:
*  Firmware update for TurboDAT tape drive. (Now version 4BGD; the 2/8 GB DAT Drive remains at Firmware version 4BG)
*  Firmware update for Autoloader tape drive. (Now version 4BGD)
*  Changed version to 2.22 pass 1.  Jump in version numbers due to need for compatibility with System Partition install utility.
*  SMART Array Controller firmware Version 2.16

HOW TO USE:

1.  Download the SoftPaq a directory on your hard drive and change to that directory.  The file downloaded to your hard drive is SP1140.EXE

2.  Obtain two (2) formatted 1.44MB diskettes and place one of them in your diskette drive.

3.  Execute the SoftPaq file to create the diskettes:  SP1140 [ENTER]

DISK #1 -- OPTIONS ROMPaq for the Compaq Fast SCSI-2 Hard Drives and Smart SCSI Array Controllers

DISK #2 -- OPTIONS ROMPaq for COMPAQ SCSI DAT Tape Drives, Compaq Tape Drives, and PCI Video Support.

4.  After the diskettes are created, you may delete the downloaded file SP1140.EXE if you wish.

5.  The Options ROMPaq diskettes are self booting diskettes.  Please place each ROMPaq diskette into your drive A: diskette drive and power cycle your system to update the appropriate components.
