DESCRIPTION:  The Compaq Deskpro/Compaq Prolinea ROMPaq allows a user to
upgrade the the System ROM on a Compaq Deskpro/Compaq Prolinea to a
March 1, 1995 System ROM.

* Corrects issue with possible CMOS data loss when disabling floppy drive.
* Corrects issue with CD-ROM when returning from standby mode.
* Corrects/enhances issues with power management.


HOW TO USE:

1.  Obtain a formatted 1.44 MB diskette.

2.  Download the SoftPaq to a directory on your hard drive and change
    to that directory.  The file that is downloaded is SP1167.EXE.

3.  From that drive and directory, execute the SoftPaq file:
    SP1167 [ENTER]
    You will be prompted to place the formatted 1.44 MB diskette into
    a diskette drive to create the diskette.

4.  After the diskette is created, you may delete the downloaded file
    SP1167.EXE if you wish.

5.  Power down the desktop machine.

6.  Place the newly created Compaq Deskpro/Compaq Prolinea ROMPaq Diskette
    in Drive A:, and power up the desktop unit.

IMPORTANT: DO NOT TURN OFF POWER TO THE SYSTEM WHILE PERFORMING THIS PROCEDURE!
