DESCRIPTION:  In order to perform a new installation of SCO XENIX on COMPAQ ProSignia VS or COMPAQ ProSignia 500, boot support for the NCR 53C710 and NCR 53C810 Fast SCSI-2 controllers is required.  A utility called "cpqinstall" is provided for creating a patched N1 boot diskette intended to allow users to perform first time installations of SCO XENIX System V 2.3.4 with the primary hard drive attached to the integrated SCSI controller.  Once the N1 diskette has been patched, SCO XENIX System V 2.3.4 can be installed in the normal fashion.

NEW FEATURES:
- Support for SCO XENIX System V 2.3.4 first time, diskette based installations on ProSignia VS and ProSignia 500 platforms.
- Support for all Compaq Fast SCSI-2 550MB and 1.05GB hard drives.

HOW TO USE:

1.  Obtain a formatted 1.44 MB diskette.

2.  Download the SoftPaq to a directory on your hard drive and change to that directory.  The file that is downloaded is SP1193.EXE.

3.  From that drive and directory, execute the SoftPaq file:
SP1193 [ENTER]
The following files should be created:
C710C810._01
QRST5.EXE
INSTALL.TXT
README.TXT
SP1193.DOC

4.  After the diskette is created, you may delete the downloaded file SP1193.EXE if you wish.

5.  To create the diskette and install the software, refer to SP1193.DOC.
