DESCRIPTION:  This is a System ROM patch (24 Mar 95) for an LTE Elite, derived from the 22 Mar 95 System ROM.

It resolves the following 2 issues:

1) Some video adapters, including the Compaq Qvision 1280 adapter, cause a distorted display on power-up when installed in SmartStation.  This only occurs if the lid on the Elite is closed.  If the lid is open there is no distortion.

2) When using some video drivers, including the Borland BGI-VGA driver, if the lid is closed and then opened the display will corrupt.  This also occurs when coming out of standby.

HOW TO USE:

1.  Obtain a formatted 1.44 MB diskette.

2.  Download the SoftPaq to a directory on your hard drive and change to that directory.  The file that is downloaded is SP1206.EXE.

3.  From that drive and directory, execute the SoftPaq file:
SP1206 [ENTER]
You will be prompted to place the formatted 1.44 MB diskette into a diskette drive to create diskette.

4.  After the diskette is created, you may delete the downloaded file SP1206.EXE if you wish.

5.  Make sure the Elite is connected to AC power and boot from the ROMPAQ diskette.

6.  Follow the instructions of the ROMPAQ utility to re-program the ROM to the 24 Mar 95 patch version.
