DESCRIPTION:  This release provides updated versions of the ROMs for the affected products.  New features and miscellaneous problem solutions included with each ROM version are detailed in the README.TXT file contained in the Softpaq.  New features include initial support for the Compaq Recovery Server Option.

HOW TO USE:  

1.  Download the SoftPaq to an empty directory on your hard drive and change to that directory.  If downloaded in zipped format (.ZIP), unzip the file to create an executable:  PKUNZIP SP1242

2.  From that drive and directory, execute the SoftPaq file:  SP1242 [ENTER]
The following files should be created: 
QRST5.EXE
ROMPAQ._01
README.TXT

3. Obtain a formatted 1.44 MB 3.5 inch diskette.

4. Follow the instructions in README.TXT to create the diskette and upgrade the system ROM.
