DESCRIPTION: Upgrade the modem ROM to version 1.06 for a SpeedPaq 192 Fax Modem.

-  Cellular/Landline autoswitch fixed for GE/Ericsson and Motorola phones
-  AT$I is not required when using GE/Ericsson phone to place a call
-  Sends faxes to Pitney-Bowes 9720, Sharp FO4800 and Sharp UX180
-  Modem detects ring without power cycling after Local Analog Loopback ended

HOW TO USE:

1.  Obtain a formatted 1.44 MB diskette.

2.  Download the SoftPaq to a directory on your hard drive and change to that directory.  The file that is downloaded is SP1290.EXE.

3.  From that drive and directory, execute the SoftPaq file:
     SP1290 [ENTER]
You will be prompted to place the formatted 1.44 MB diskette into a diskette drive to create the diskette.

4.  After the diskette is created, you may delete the downloaded file SP1290.EXE if you wish.

5.  Please view the README.1ST file on the diskette for instructions on how to use the ROMpaq.
