DESCRIPTION: While starting Windows on one of the Deskpro models named above in PRODUCTS AFFECTED, the user may experience a system lock-up followed by loss of the Novell Netware network connection. This new version of PCNTNW.COM corrects this problem. PREREQUISITE: Novell Netware LSL.COM Version 2.11 or higher HOW TO USE: 1. Download the SoftPaq to a directory on your hard drive and change to that directory. The file that is downloaded is SP1423.EXE. 2. From that drive and directory, execute the SoftPaq file: SP1423 [ENTER] The following files should be created: PCNTNW.COM PCNTNW.INS SP1423.DOC 3. After the files are created, you may delete the downloaded file SP1423.EXE if you wish. 4. Copy the three files from step 2 to the directory where the previous version of PCNTNW.COM is installed (normally NWCLIENT). Example: COPY PCNTNW.* \NWCLIENT 5. The driver PCNTNW.COM is usually run by a batch file such as NETSTART.BAT each time the system is restarted. The next time the system is started, the new version will be used.
