DESCRIPTION:  This SoftPaq only applies to customers with Presario 500, 700, or 900 Series computers in North America/Latin America who upgrade from MediaPilot 1.0x/1.5 to MediaPilot 1.51i AND are still running Windows 3.1x.  After upgrading to Media Pilot 1.51i, some Windows 3.1 users get the following system error when receiving a fax: "Unable to print/write to device AUX".  This SoftPaq creates a diskette that resolves the issue.  The diskette contains a replacement file along with a batch file to assist with the installation. 

HOW TO USE:

1.  Obtain 1 formatted 1.44 MB diskette.

2.  Download the SoftPaq to a directory on your hard drive and change to that directory.  The file that is downloaded is SP1511.EXE.

3.  From that drive and directory, execute the SoftPaq file:
    SP1511 [ENTER]
You will be prompted to place the formatted 1.44 MB diskette into a diskette drive to create the diskette.

4.  After the diskette is created, you may delete the downloaded file SP1511.EXE if you wish.

5.  Exit Windows.  Insert the newly created diskette in drive A:.

6.  From the DOS prompt (C:\>), type:  A:\FAXFIX [ENTER]
This executes a batch file that moves the file ECIFAX.EXE (which is designed to work with Windows 95) from your hard drive to your diskette.  Then it copies a different version of ECIFAX.EXE (which will work with Windows 3.1x) to the \WINDOWS\MEDIAPLT directory.

7.  When the operation is completed, type WIN [ENTER] to restart Windows.

IMPORTANT NOTE:  If you plan to upgrade to Windows 95, save the diskette and repeat the above procedure (steps 5 through 7) before upgrading to Windows 95.  This will reverse the procedure and restore the version of ECIFAX.EXE that works with Windows 95 to your hard drive.
