DESCRIPTION:  The Options ROMPaq diskettes allow a user to upgrade the ROM Firmware images for Compaq System product Options.  The Options ROMPaq consists of 3 diskettes:
   -  Controllers
   -  Hard Drives
   -  SCSI Tape Drives
NOTE:  Smart-2 Array Controller Firmware has been omitted from this release and will be provided in the next release.

NOTE:   Multiple firmware versions exist for these products.   ROMpaq will identify and upgrade the correct firware to the specific OEM tape hardware product.

HOW TO USE:

1.  Download the SoftPaq a directory on your hard drive and change to that directory.  The file downloaded to your hard drive is SP1592.EXE

2.  Obtain three (3) formatted 1.44MB diskettes and place one of them in your diskette drive.

3.  Execute the SoftPaq file to create the diskettes:  SP1592 [ENTER]
    DISK #1 -- OPTIONS ROMPaq Firmware Upgrade Diskette for SMART SCSI Array Controllers               
    DISK #2 -- OPTIONS ROMPaq Firmware Upgrade Diskette for Hard Drives
    DISK #3 -- OPTIONS ROMPaq Firmware Upgrade Diskette for SCSI DAT and Tape Drives

4.  After the diskettes are created, you may delete the downloaded file SP1592.EXE if you wish.

5.  The Options ROMPaq diskettes are self booting diskettes.  Please place each ROMPaq diskette into your drive A: diskette drive and power cycle your system to update the appropriate components.
