DESCRIPTION:  This softpaq will create the OS/2 Support Software Diskette for Compaq Version 2.08 Rev A.  For complete information on changes and enhancements to the OS/2 2.x Support Software Diskette, see WHATSNEW.RDM on the generated diskette. 
New feature: 
o  The Remote Insight driver, CPQRIB.SYS, provides support for the Compaq Remote Insight Controller.
o  Several new SCSI device drivers and setup utilities for the Deskpro XL
Updates:
o  The SCSI driver, CPQ53CX.ADD, has been updated to correct a potential problem of running SCSI devices on the secondary PCI bus.
o  The Array driver, CPQARRAY.ADD, has been updated to:
     - correct a potential problem that may cause the system to lock up under heavy stress conditions with an HPFS file system.
     - correct a potential problem when two SMART-2 controllers share the same IRQ which could cause the system to hang under heavy stress testing in Warp Server BETA- 2 using an HPFS file system.
     - handle Interrupts 1, 2, and 4 for the PCI SMART-2 Array controller so they no longer cause the system to hang.
     - correct a potential problem that prevents the system from booting when the Array Accelerator is enabled on the SMART-2 controller.
o  The Server Health driver, CPQHLTH.SYS, has been updated to provide support for Compaq ProLiant 5000 servers.
o  The PSD driver, OS2APIC.PSD, has been updated to support the following systems running OS/2 for SMP 2.11:
     - ProLiant 1500 Servers with the FlexSMP 5/133 Dual Processor Board
     - ProLiant 1500 Servers with the FlexSMP 5/166 Dual Processor Board
     - ProLiant 5000 Servers

HOW TO USE:  

1.  Download the SoftPaq to an empty directory on your hard drive and change to that directory.  If downloaded in zipped format (.ZIP), unzip the file to create an executable:  PKUNZIP SP1863

2.  From that drive and directory, execute the SoftPaq file:  SP1863 [ENTER]
The following files should be created: 
QRST5.EXE
181499US._01

3.  Obtain a formatted 1.44 MB diskette.

4. To create the diskette, run QRST5 and follow the on-screen instructions.

5.  After the diskette is created, you may delete the downloaded file SP1863.EXE and the other files created on your hard drive if you wish.
