WAVE BLASTER LATEST INFORMATION
                    ===============================

This file contains information not available  during the  printing of
the manual.  Please read all the sections before you proceed with any
installation procedure.

1. SOFTWARE INSTALLATION

   The installation programs, INSTALL.EXE is  a DOS based program  to
   install  Wave Blaster    applications  to  your  hard  disk.   The
   procedure for running INSTALL.EXE is as follows.

   a. Insert  the disk  labelled "Wave Blaster Disk #1" into a floppy
      disk drive and change your DOS prompt to this drive.

   b. Type "INSTALL" and press the [ENTER] key.

   c. Follow  the  instructions  on   the   screen  to  complete  the
      installation.


2. SOFTWARE PACKAGE LISTING

   The following files reside on the distribution diskette(s):

   In the Root directory.

   INSTALL .EXE     - DOS   program   to   install    Wave    Blaster
                      applications
   INSTALL .001     - Installation   data   file   for   INSTALL.EXE,
                      containing Wave Blaster applications
   README  .COM     - Program to display the README.TXT file
   README  .TXT     - This file
   DISK    .ID      - Disk identification file


   The  following  files  will be installed to your hard  disk  after
   running INSTALL.EXE.

   In the \WAVEBLST directory:

   README  .COM     - Program to display the README.TXT file
   README  .TXT     - This file
   PLAYMIDI.EXE     - MIDI file player
   SBMIDI  .EXE     - MIDI driver
   WINSETUP.EXE     - Wave Blaster Windows set up program
   WINSETUP.INF     - Information file for WINSETUP.EXE
   *       .MID     - Sample MIDI files
   WBDEMO.EXE       - Demo program for Wave Blaster  
   DEMO.BAT         - Batch file to run WBDEMO.EXE 

   In the \WAVEBLST\WBPANEL directory:

   EFFECT  .CBK     - Sound effect instrument bank file
   GENMIDI .CBK     - General MIDI instrument bank file
   MT32    .CBK     - MT32 instrument bank file
   GENMIDI .CGS     - General MIDI global settings files
   WBPANEL .EXE     - Wave Blaster Control Panel program
   WBMODE  .EXE     - DOS based Wave Blaster control program      
   BANK    .WB      - Wave Blaster default instrument bank file
   GLOBAL  .WB      - Wave Blaster default global settings file
