The ride cymbal is 909RCYM1 909HH1 to 909HH5 are 5 closed hihat sound. The Open hihat sounds are 909OH1 and 909OH2. 909KICK1 to 909KICK9 are various kick drums, 2 of them layered, 2 distorted. 909RIM1 and 909RIM2 are rim shots. 909SD1 to 909SD7 are various snare drums. 909TOML is a low tom. A note for people using playmidi: when playmidi reads the .cfg file, the parser cant read patch names that start with a number. to remedy to that: type the full path of the patch. Example, if you want to use 909SD2.PAT at position 34 in the percussions: 34 ultrasnd\midi\909sd2 Or even better, you can create a new directory and put all the custom patches there: 34 ultrasnd\custom\909sd2 for example. (but keep in mind that you cannot use custom directories in ultrasnd.ini). What's next =========== More percussive instruments (TR-626) are beeing made now (September 1st 1993), and they will be released sometime in the future. In parallel i'll be doing a REAL patch serie (real instruments) and an ANASYN patch serie (analog synths).
