This file contains instructions for installing LANSchool V3.2.
There is some user intervention required during the installation.
Therefore, please read and follow the directions carefully.

     1) Log into your network as a SYSOP.

     2) Use the escape sequence (ALT/E-S-C) and break out to DOS.

     3) Insert the diskette with the LANSchool V3.2 files and type
        A:G at the prompt.

     4) During the installation of LANSchool V3.2, you will be
prompted to answer a few questions. These questions will
check to see where your previous version (3.0 or 3.01) of
LANSchool is installed and therefore, where you would like
        to have V3.2 loaded.

     5) Once the installation is complete, you will be returned to
        The SYSOP's main menu.

     6) Select Modify Program Options.

     7) Select Courseware.

     8) You will see a list of courseware that is currently on
your server. The previous version of LANSchool will appear
in that list. Tab down to that version (3.0 or 3.01) and
        select it.

     9) The .ITM file for the LANSchool program will appear. Tab
down to the Program Description field and change the
version to V3.2. Press F10 twice to save and confirm your
        changes.

    10) All appearances of LANSchool will now show as V3.2. All
users who had LANSchool loaded will now have the 3.2
        version available to them.

NOTE: The following is a detailed description of changes in
       LANSchool V3.2

Bug Fixes:
The Teacher's mouse pointer will be properly restored after the removal
of the Teacher's pointer arrow. (This was especially a problem with
Microsoft Works)

Color Information is correctly updated in all video modes. EGA equipment
still has trouble if the EGA registers are not readable. If you wish to
disable the updating of color data, the NOCOLOR switch is available on
TEACHER.COM, STUDENT.COM, and PEEK.COM.

Certain older PC-Type student machines would not properly receive
keystrokes from a teacher while being Peek'ed. There is a new switch
for STUDENT.COM, "KEY_STUFF", which will use a different method of
keystroke stuffing for older IBM-PC Clones.

Enhancements:
In the default mode, the teacher will send graphics screens about 30%
faster than older version. However, it is possible to boost this speed
even more. The BURST option for TEACHER.COM allows the user to specify
how many screen packets to send during every Clock Tick. The default is
one packet per tick, but this can be increased to 2 or 3.
ie TEACHER BURST=3
will specify 3 screen packets to be sent in every clock tick. This will
effectivly triple the student screen update rate. However, the larger the
BURST number, the greater the network traffic. It is recommended the users
who wish to operate at a higher BURST rate, experiment with both BURST=2
and BURST=3 to see if the network performance remains acceptable.

The memory overhead for LANSchool decreased for both the teacher and
student modules. Although this memory decrease is not significant, it's
always nice to get new features and require less memory at the same time!
