This is a list of IBM PCjr keyboard overlays that have been verified to exist, or are suspected to exist. Verified: - HomeWord (Sierra) - King's Quest (Sierra) - A full keyboard overlay was included in the first revision, and a second top-of-keyboard-only strip template was included in the second revision, intended for the later version of the PCjr keyboard that didn't use "chiclet" keys. - Microsoft Flight Simulator (Microsoft) - A version reviewed in the August 1984 edition of PCjr Magazine mentions that it comes with an overlay, and Mike Brutman mentioned MSFS version 2.11 that came with the Microsoft Booster also came with an overlay. - Blank overlays (IBM) - IBM sold a package of five blank keyboard overlays for users to create their own. - Lotus 1-2-3 (Lotus) - The Lotus 1-2-3 PCjr Installation Kit contains a small keyboard overlay for both keyboards. Unverified: - WordPlus jr (Professional Software) - Peanut V1N2 July/August 1984 writes "comes equipped with an overlay that slips over the top row of Junior's keys" - Qwerty jr (HFK Software) - Peanut V1N2 July/August 1984 writes "A cardboard overlay marks the top row of function keys with their purpose in the program." - Juggles' Butterfly (The Learning Company) - In "The NEW jr" (WINN L. ROSCH), on page 255, states the following: "A piece of cardboard that you are to cut out is provided for dividing up your keyboard; a genuine IBM-style keyboard overlay is not provided with this software!" -- However, IBM's The Guide from Fall 83/Winter 84 on page 101 states "Keyboard Template (for IBM PCjr)" and The Guide Volume IV (1985) explicitly mentions "Keyboard Template (for IBM PCjr)". - DisplayWrite 1 - Description in The Guide Volume IV page 46 mentions "Keyboard Template" but it's unknown for what keyboard. - Word Proof - Description in The Guide Volume IV page 55 mentions "And the Keyboard Template, an overlay, provides a map of the function keys co help you complete operations more quickly." but it's unknown for what keyboard this is for. - Multiplan 1.10 - Description in The Guide Volume IV page 65 mentions "a keyboard template comes with the product. The template fits over the keyboard to help you quickly become familiar with the functions of the various keys." but it's unknown for what keyboard this is for. Debunked / Unverifiable: - Mickey's Colors & Shapes (Disney) - While mentioned in a PC Enterprises catalog ("Any color or shape key your child presses on the special keyboard overlay makes something magical happen every time!") , this title was published in 1991, and would not have come with a full keyboard overlay.
