In the spring of 1997 I decided I had to have a BeBox. But when I started looking for one to buy, I found out that Be, Inc. had stopped making the BeBox just a few weeks earlier.
After several weeks of fruitless phone calls, email, and faxes to BeBox vendors in Japan, the U.S.A., Germany, Norway, and the U.K., I happened to learn that Be's official British dealer had just returned their very last BeBox to Be Europe, which is headquartered in France. I immediately called up Be Europe, and it was true! They had one left! Here's the happy email I got a few minutes after I hung up the phone:
