MM74HC541 Octal 3-STATE Buffer datasheet  (IBM used a generic "74HC541")

If you have documentation or actual experience with the PSL, I'd like to hear it.

Prototype Module 57F7924

A kit that includes one standard-length prototype card and a complete module case. Gives your projects a finished, professional look and protects the components.

All of the cards feature plated through-holes and a gold edge connector for easy building and reliable performance. Microchip for interface between module and PSL unit. Each card is also supplied with an "ID" chip (74HC541) that allows the Base Unit to identify the custom circuit. These cards may be used with either the Base Unit or the DIO Module.

NOTE:
There are some differences between the datasheet drawing and thecircuit drawing. Don't wire this blindly following the positions, you must follow the Pin Functions!
