Lexmark MarkNet XLe 4033-201
CR1-4 enables XLe to automatically adjust impedance differences of STP and UTP cable. 50G6144ESD is also used in the 16/4 TR adapter. Notice the beefy N80C186-16 CPU. More moxie than the SCSI w/cache N80C188. Internal power supply
The IBM LAN Connection for Printers and Plotters [4033] provides a direct connection of parallel and EIA-232-C serial printers and plotters to LANs. The 4033 consists of a network printer adapter unit that attaches to a LAN and a software utility that resides on the LAN print server. The adapter unit has both a serial and a parallel port that can be used simultaneously to support two printers or plotters. The utility redirects print data to the 4033's parallel or serial port. The printer attached to the 4033 receives data and prints it just as if it was attached to a server's printer port. The software utility supports remote printing via an OS/2 Extended Edition and LAN Server for PS/2 server or AIX Ver 3.1.5 server connected to token-ring or Ethernet LAN. The 4033 operates without noticeable degradation of printing performance and supports: IBM PPDS, HP PCL, IBM/HP GL, and Adobe PostScript (1).
