As mentioned in the RT2500/RT2000 User Forum site, below are steps to follow in upgrading from Premiere 5.1c to Premiere 6.5:

1. Remove Matrox Video Tools and RT card from your system

2. Install Premiere 5.1 - reboot apply the 5.1c patch, power down and add the RT card power up and install mvt3.1b

3. Install Premiere 6.5 reboot

4. You need to cut and paste jobs:
   You should have 2 directories
   c:\program files\adobe\premiere 5.1
   c:\program files\adobe premiere 6.5

   from the Premiere 5.1\settings cut all the files to Premiere 6.5\settings folder next do a search for mrvprmdv.prm it should be under Premiere 5.1\plug-ins and again copy to Premiere 6.5\plug-ins directory

   finally do a search for mtx  - you should probably have many hits. The only ones you'll need is under the Premiere 5.1\plug-ins directory.

   Copy all entries and post to the same path but under the Premiere 6.5\plug-ins directory.

5. When its all done, you can uninstall Premiere 5.1c -(system did not mention about deleting shared files)

6. When you start Premiere 6.5 the presets are different - there are no Matrox folders - see attached pic

7. On the timeline the Matrox folders are there for effects/transitions etc
