YMERSION.EXE : YMERSION Control Application for OPL3-SA3 YMERSION.TXT : This file --- Overview --- 1. This application is an OS/2 native application only for the OPL3-SA series driver version 3.04 and the OPL3-SA3 board. Please be aware that it will not run on other configurations. --- Installation and operation --- 1. When the driver set is installed, YMERSION.EXE will be installed in the directory in which the multi-media software support (MMPM/2) functionality is located (normally the \MMOS2 directory). Alternatively, if you have been using a driver of version 3.03.0 or earlier, it may be copied to the directory which you specify. In this case, please delete the old YMERSION.EXE before installing the driver set. After the driver set has been installed, open the folder of the directory into which the software was installed (normally the \MMOS2 folder), and double-click the icon to start up the program. Alternatively, you can move to the above directory at the OS/2 command prompt (normally CD \MMOS2) and type YMERSION.EXE (return) to start up the program. 2. You can adjust the playback tone of the OPL3-SA3 card by sliding the Ymersion/Treble/Bass slider bars. 3. In the case of the OPL3-SA3B board, you will be able to select the YMERSION MODE. Select the desired mode. --- Supplementary remarks --- Settings which were made in this application will remain in effect until the system is shut down. In the case of the OPL3-SA3B board, the desired YMERSION MODE can be selected separately at the time of driver installation. If you wish to set the mode permanently, follow the procedure given in README.TXT to specify the YMERSION MODE. The upper 3 digits of the version number of this application indicate the version of the OPL3-SA series device driver which supports its functionality. If the software does not operate correctly, check the type of board and the version of the driver. Also, if you update the OPL3-SA series device driver, be sure to also update the application included with this software. --- History --- April 20, 1997 -- Version 3.04.0 - Support for the following languages. - English - Japanese - French - Italian - German - Spanish - The following fixes were made. - Depending on the type of video card, problems had occurred with screen re-drawing when a slider was moved. The occurrence of screen re-drawing problems was reduced by deleting the slider movement buttons, leaving only the sliders. - When the software was run on a non-Japanese version of OS/2, there had been problems with overlapping character placement. This was fixed by adopting English VGA as the standard. - Window content was modified. March 12, 1997 -- Version 3.03.0 - Support for OPL3-SA3B. - Change application name from OPL3DEMO to YMERSION.
