Creative 3D Blaster PCI FlashROM upgrade program
================================================

This README.TXT contains important notes for using the utility.

This program works only on 3D Blaster PCI with FlashROM on board 
(which allows for the upgrading of the BIOS).


How to use the utility:
=======================
1. This program is executable in native DOS, and in Windows 95 DOS box.
   If in doubt, please run the program in native DOS.

2. Simply run the program in DOS prompt.  You will be prompted
   to press any key to continue.

3. The programming process takes about 20 seconds (including
   verification time) to complete.  This process should NOT be
   interrupted.  Failing to observe this, unexpected results
   may occur.
   
4. When asked to restart your computer, perform a cold boot (by
   pressing the Reset key, or shutting off the power to your PC and
   then turning the power on).
   

Troubleshooting:
================

In case the BIOS is not programmed properly, you may need to reprogram it.  
This requires the use of another VGA card.  Move the VGA card and 3D Blaster 
PCI along the PCI slots in your PC, and connect VGA card output to a monitor 
until any display is shown.  You can then program the BIOS as described above.
