Readme Version1.0q This FIRMWARE is ONLY vaild for TRAX DATA 4260-PRO/2260-PRO 1) This folder contains 4 files as stated below 1.TD1S8b11.bin Firmware Up-date Version 1.0q 2.TRAXINST.exe Install execute file (for DOS version) 3.RELNOTEQ.txt Release Note of Version 1.0q 4.readmevq.txt Explanation of install(This file) 2)How to install the New Firmware. 4260-PRO/2260-PRO connect to Host PC via SCSI I/F. 4260-PRO/2260-PRO power on (no caddy or no disc in the drive) Host PC power on & runs Microsoft DOS with ASPI driver 3)These two files are put on the same Folder. 1.TD1S8b11.bin 2.TRAXINST.exe COMMAND TRAXINST TD1S8b11.bin 3 0 usage......TRAXINST [Fn][ID][Anum] [File name] : TD1S8b11.bin new Firmware file [4260-PRO/2260-PRO SCSI ID] : 3 if you have only target [SCSI Card number]: 0 if you have only SCSI board New firmware installation complete. 4260-PRO/2260-PRO received TD1S8b11.bin binary data from a PC via SCSI line and stored into internal buffer in the drive. Display out the messages if complete "New firmware installation complete" or if error was happed "SCSI I/O error occurred." If you have trouble.....Please check connection or selected SCSI ID conflict or AC power supplyment and etc.... 4260-PRO/2260-PRO starts binary data copy from internal buffer to Flushmemory after all data received from a PC. DISC LED and READ LED on the front bezel starts blinking during operation period. When finished the Install operation, DISC LED lights orange color and READ LED turned off. You can check the Firmwre version number by INQUIRY command or reboot PC. If INSTALL complete correctly, MSCDEX can mount 4260-PRO/2260-PRO using ordinary CD-ROM device driver. The 4260-PRO/2260-PRO device type is "5". So ordinary CD-ROM device driver can handle 4260-PRO/2260-PRO.
