Procedure: The Windows NT4.0 Display Driver is installed and configured using the standard Windows NT configuration utilities. 1. Start Windows NT. 2. a) Select Run from the Start icon OR b) Use Windows Explorer to select NT40-176.EXE and skip Step #3. 3. When asked for the file to run, enter NT40-176.EXE from the directory it was downloaded into. 4. Follow the instructions displayed to uncompress the installation files into C:\ATI\SUPPORT\NT40. 5. Run the Windows NT Display program located in the Control Panel, under "Settings" in the Start menu. Alternatively, position the cursor on the background of the desktop, click the right mouse button, then select "Properties" from the popup menu. 6. Select the "Settings" page. 7. Select "Display Type...". 8. Select "Change..." from the display options. 9. Select "Have Disk..." 10. NT will prompt you for the correct path, enter C:\ATI\SUPPORT\NT40 11. A list of ATI graphics accelerators will be displayed. Select the card you are using, then click on the "OK" button. 12. Windows NT will once again prompt for confirmation. All appropriate files are then copied to your Windows directory. 13. Restart Windows NT. Windows NT will start up using the new drivers. 14. NT will boot into a default mode and start the Display applet allowing for mode selection. After successfully installing the driver, you can delete the contents of the directory C:\ATI\SUPPORT\NT40 using the 'Remove ATI Temporary Files' icon.
