Problems Solved with this Driver ------------------------------------------------------------------- This Driver resolves two Windows 98 Release Candidate 3 problems: 1. Problem hanging on the DOS box and during shutdowns. 2. Resolutions that showed up on the popup menu that were not supported by the monitor no longer appear. 5. Known Restrictions for this Driver ------------------------------------------------------------------- Some monitors may not display properly at 640x480 with 85H vertical refresh rate. If you experience problems with this mode, restart Windows 95 in Safe Mode and select an alternate desktop resolution. Then restart Windows and select 640x480 and 75Hz with the Refresh tab in Display Properties. This problem should be fixed with the next version of the Stealth II S220 display driver. 6. Notes about Monitor Selection ------------------------------------------------------------------- In order for you to get the most out of your graphics card, the monitor that you use should have performance specifications that match those of your graphics card. NOTE: Please adjust your monitor settings in the Display Properties dialog. ---- I M P O R T A N T ---- Use only settings for resolution and refresh rate that are supported by your monitor. Permanent damage to your monitor can result if you operate it for extended periods with settings outside its specifications. If you change monitors, be sure to compare monitor parameters and, if necessary, make appropriate changes! 8.
