No 3D effect when using the ELSA 3D REVELATOR with Need for Speed III

Error: :
No 3D effect is visible in the game Need for Speed III when using the ELSA 3D REVELATOR with the ELSA VICTORY II.

Cause:
In Need for Speed III, the driver automatically switches over to the 3Dfx Glide mode. The game does not offer an option to select Direct3D as required. However, the 3D glasses only work in applications that use Direct3D.

Solution:
This problem can be solved by applying a patch that allows Need for Speed III to be switched to Direct3D.
This patch can be found under the following link in the download section of the ELSA Internet server:
ftp://ftp.elsa.de/FILES/GRAPHICS/VICTORY2/VIC2NFS3.ZIP

The same tool can be used to switch back to Glide.
