Check Cable Connection

The setup wizard cannot find the printer. Use a network cable to connect the printer to the network hub.

Check the network port lights on the back of the printer:

On and green

Perform the troubleshooting steps on the setup screen, then do one of the following: To find the printer’s Hardware address (MAC address), IP address, or device name (IP Hostname), print a network configuration page. For instructions on printing a network configuration page, see the documentation that came with the printer.

Off

  • Verify that the network cable is securely connected to both the printer and the Wireless Access Point (WAP) or computer.
  • Verify that the WAP is turned on.
  • Verify that the printer is turned on.
  • Verify that the computer is connected to the network.
