Finding Your Network's Wireless Settings

Try these suggestions if you are looking for one of the following:

Wireless Access Point (WAP)

If your wireless network uses a Wireless Access Point (WAP), such as a wireless network hub, router, or gateway, it is recommended that you access the WAP’s configuration utility to find the network’s wireless settings.

See the manufacturer's documentation for instructions on using the WAP’s configuration utility.

Wireless LAN card

If you are using a wireless LAN card in your PC or laptop, use the card’s utility to find its wireless settings. You might be able to access the card’s utility through the Windows Control Panel, a desktop icon, or an icon in your system tray.

See your wireless LAN card’s documentation for instructions using the card’s utility or visit the manufacturer's Web site.

Hint: The LAN card may have multiple wireless profiles. Be sure to use the profile for your wireless network.
