Xircom(R) Pocket Adapter Does Not Work on Texas Instruments TravelMate* 5300

Symptom(s):

  • Pocket Adapter has no power light when plugged into the parallel port
  • Cannot access network

Cause:
Incorrect CMOS settings on the computer

Solution:
Follow the steps below:

1. In CMOS, set the Parallel Port to the EPP & SPP setting. For information on modifying the CMOS, see your computer manufacturer's documentation.

2. Restart the computer. The PE3 adapter's power light illuminates.
