Windows NT 4.0 Introduction: ------------- This document describes the procedure to install Windows NT v4.0 driver for ISA Plug & Play ethernet adapter. Location of Driver: \WINNT40\PNPWNT.SYS Installing driver procedure on Microsoft Windows NT : ----------------------------------------------------- 1. Start Windows NT 4.0, then click the Start button. 2. Open the Settings menu and select Control Panel. 3. Double-click the Network icon. 4. If you have previously installed a network adapter on the computer: - Click Adapters in the Network window - Click Add If you have not installed a network adapter on the computer: - Click Yes in the Network Configuration dialog box - Select Wired to the Network in the Network Setup Wizard window - Click Next to continue - Click the Select from list button 5. Click the Have Disk button in the Select Network Adapter window. The Insert Disk window appears. 6. Insert the Driver Disk into the floppy drive. 7. At the prompt, type the following: A:\WINNT40 8. Click OK. A screen appears with "Input Ethernet ID" dialog box which is provided by the driver. This option is only required when you have more than one ISA Plug & Play ethernet adapters in the computer. 9. Select SKIP, if only one adapter is installed in this computer. Windows NT will perform the "Bindings Configuration" process. If any additional network software options were installed, you may be prompted for specific information for these packages. 10. Complete the installation by following the instructions provided by Windows NT. 11. Restart the computer. NOTES: Installing Multiple LAN Adapters: Start Windows NT and follow above setup procedure. Click "Properties...", and then the "Input Ethernet ID" dialog box appears and enter adapter's Ethernet ID. Select OK and close Network setup. Select SKIP if only one adapter is installed in this computer.
