Installation of the Iomega Buz NT drivers in Windows 2000

 

Here is something many people asked for: howto install the NT drivers in Windows 2000? It's quite simple:
1. Right-click my computer

2. Click Properties

3. Go to the hardware tab and select Device Manager

4. Right-click you Iomega Buz
5. Select Properties

6. Click on the button Re-install Driver

7. Click on Next in the Welcome screen

8. In the windows that appears now, select the second option (Display a list of the know drivers for this device so that I can choose a specific driver) and click Next

9. If asked, select "Sound, video and game controllers" and click Next.

10. Click Have Disk.
11. Click Browse
12. Go to the folder where you extracted the driver and double-click OEMSETUP.INF. Then, click Next

13. Select Iomega Buz and click Next

14. Windows gives you a warning. Just ignore this by clicking Yes

15. Windows says the wizard is ready to install the driver. Click Next.

16. Windows says that the driver is not digitally signed. Click Yes to proceed with the installation.

17. The driver askes you for some settings. (This windows is always in English). Just click Install.

18. You can get an error message. Click OK

19. The wizard says it has finished installing the driver. Click Finish.

20. Windows askes you to reboot the system. Click Yes to do so.
