Question: How do I install my TDK modem in Windows NT 4?

Answer:

1. Insert your TDK PC Card and restart your laptop.

2. After your laptop has restarted, go to Control Panel | Modems.

3. From the Install New Modem dialog box, select "Don't detect my modem. I will select if from a list" and click Next.

4. From the next dialog box, select the Have Disk button and insert the installation floppy disk.

5. Within the next dialog box, your TDK modem should be highlighted in the Models window. Select Next.

6. Select a com port and click Next, then Finish.

7. When the Modem Properties dialog box appears, click Close.

If you have followed the above instructions and the modem is not working, try the following:

1. Go to the control panel.

2. Click on Modems icon and remove any modems on the list.

3. Go to ports in control panel and remove any ports. NOTE: if there are 2 ports listed, you will need to go into the laptop's bios, disable all com/serial ports and shutdown the computer.

4. Insert TDK modem and restart your laptop.

5. Follow previous installation instructions.
