1 - Software Description

            SimpleCam is a video capture software that can be used as a building block of a complete Remote Monitoring Solution. You install SimpleCam in a personal computer and it can then capture video images generated by up to 4 video cameras connected to this personal computer. The video images captured by SimpleCam can be kept on the personal computer's hardisk to be "inspected" afterwards. Through the use of a common Web server, you can visualize remotely video images (frames) captured by SimpleCam. Additionally, using the Software, you can transfer video images (frames) to an Internet server using the FTP protocol.

2 - System Requirements

            SimpleCam has been successfully tested on the following operating systems: MS Windows 98, MS Windows Me and MS Windows 2000. To use the Software, you need to install MS DirectX 8.0 (runtime). If it's not already installed, you can download it from Microsoft website (www.microsoft.com).

            To use SimpleCam, you need at least one video camera connected to you computer. This camera must be compatible with MS DirectX 8.0.

3 - Installation Instructions

            To install SimpleCam, execute the following steps:

                        I - Unzip the download file in a temporary directory.

                        II - From the temporary directory, double click on "SimpleCam_inst.exe" and follow the instructions.

            When the installation finishes, "SimpleCam Capture" will start. Select your video camera at "Configure Menu/Video Device..." and start using the Software.

4 - Trial Period

            You will be able to use SimpleCam for 60 executions. After that period, to continue using the Software, you need to register it and purchase a "registration code". We encourage you to test SimpleCam with your video camera(s) before purchasing a "registration code".

5 - Registration

            To register SimpleCam, send an e-mail to info@simplecam.com.br ("Subject: Register"). You will receive an e-mail with detailed information about our prices, discounts and a link to our online registration form.

6 - Uninstall Instructions

            To uninstall the Software, start the install/uninstall program at the "StartUp Menu/Programs/SimpleCam". Then select the "Go" option at the "Uninstall" menu.
