The Tandy 2500 SX/20 delivers IBM PC/XT/AT compatibility in a high-performance 
environment. Many advanced features are standard on the Tandy 2500SX/20. 
These features, as well as available options, are listed below.

* 20 MHz INTEL 80386SX Microprocessor--Gives you true Intel 80386SX processing 
  power. The 80386SX microprocessor is a 32-bit CPU with a 16-bit data path.
* Industry Standard Architecture(ISA)--Ensures compatibility with hardware 
  and software built to the IBM standard for PC/XT/AT.
* MS-DOS and MS OS/2 Compatibility--Lets you choose the operating system that 
  best supports your software.
* 85 Meg IDE Caviar Smartdrive
* 101-Key Enhanced Keyboard--Provides easy typing with a standard 101-key 
  layout. Features auto-repeat to reduce the number of multiple keystrokes.
* High-Capacity 3 1/2" Diskette Drive--Enables you to read and write both 
  standard-density (720 KB) and high-density (1.44 MB), 3 1/2" diskettes.
* Three Disk Drive Bays--Enable you to install hard drives, diskette drives, or 
  tape cartridge systems. The high-capacity, 3 1/2" diskette drive is installed 
  in one bay.
* Three 16-Bit Standard Expansion Slots--Permit installation of 16-bit adapters. 
  These are full-sized, 13" slots. Some sixteen-bit adapters use a higher data 
  transfer rate than 8-bit adapters.
* On-board VGA-Compatible Video with Super VGA Modes--Provides the high 
  resolution and many colors of Super VGA modes. Super VGA features 16-color, 
  1024 x 768 and 800 x 600 graphics modes and 132-column text modes. 
  VGA-compatible video can emulate the MCGA, EGA, CGA, MDA, and Hercules 
  standards. Requires a VGA analog monitor (color or monochrome).
* Music and Sound Hardware--Enables you to record, store, and play sophisticated 
  music and sound. Includes an analog-to-digital/digital-to-analog converter, a 
  built-in speaker, a digital volume control, a microphone connector, and a 
  headphone connector. The Music and Sound manual is shipped with the computer.
* 1MB of Dynamic, Random Access Memory (DRAM)--Enables you to run a variety of 
  software. This memory is permanently installed on the main logic board. the 
  on-board sockets are free for the installation of additional memory.
* Built-in Diskette Drive Controller--Saves you the cost of a diskette 
  controller board and the use of a 16-bit slot when you add diskette drives. 
  Supports up to two diskette drives.
* Built-in 16-Bit Smartdrive (IDE) Connectors and Controller--Enable you to 
  quickly add convenient, reliable hard disk storage. SmartDrives provide 
  maximum performance at minimum cost. The built-in controller supports up to 
  two SmartDrives.
* Built-in Mouse Port (Mini Din Connector)--Saves you the cost of a PS/2-style 
  mouse board and the use of a 16-bit slot.
* Built-in Serial Port--Saves you the cost of a serial expansion adapter and the 
  use of a 16-bit slot when you connect a serial mouse, an external modem, or 
  other serial device.
* Built-in Headphone and Microphone Connectors--Enable you to connect a 
  microphone or line-level audio input device. The headphone connector features 
  simulated stereo and supports the connection of a line-level audio output 
  device. The digital volume control of the built-in speaker or optional 
  headphone can be adjusted by pressing a sequence of keys on the keyboard.
* Built-in Parallel Port--Saves you the cost of a parallel expansion adapter and 
  the use of a 16-bit slot when you connect a parallel printer or other parallel 
  device. This port can be set for unidirectional or bidirectional data 
  transfer.
* Battery-Backed Internal Clock--Maintains the system date and time when the 
  computer is turned off. The clock's battery also powers the CMOS RAM which 
  maintains current configuration settings.
* Keylock--Locks the expansion adapter cover and carriage to secure the contents 
  of the system unit.
