The 1000 RLX/B comes with MS-DOS 5.0 in ROM. This is a significant 
advance for those customers who are looking for the latest in operating 
systems for their RLX/B. It also allows the RLX/B-HD to be configured with 
one 40 MB partition, instead of the two partitions required by MS-DOS 3.3.

The Automatic House, a DeskMate software interface for the X-10 Controller, 
is included with the DeskMate 3.5 bundled with the Version B computers. This 
allows your customer to easily automate their home by using X-10 and the 
friendly face of DeskMate.

We have changed the joystick ports on the new version. To use the joysticks 
we currently have in the line, you'll need an adapter from a full-size to a 
mini-din plug. The adapter is found under catalog number 26-284, which can
be obtained from your Radio Shack Store.

The DeskMate version 3.04.03 disks that are supplied with the NEW version "B"
of the 1000RLX (cat. 25-1452B) and 1000RLXHD (cat. 25-1053B) are very diff- 
erent from each other.  Both machines come with two high density MS-DOS 5.0 
disks, which are NOT compressed and ARE bootable.  Both machines also include
an America On-Line diskette.  The floppy version comes with five high density
DeskMate disks that are UNCOMPRESSED and the files are directly accessible by
DeskMate.  The hard drive version has two high density DeskMate disks that
contain a COMPRESSED version of that computers DeskMate.  This compressed   
version can not be used for anything but installing to hard disk. Not 
recommended for the Floppy Version.
