ABOUT THIS MANUAL

This manual describes how to set up and start using your Tandy 4016 DX
computer.
The first sections of this manual provide basic information about the
computer:

INTRODUCTION
Describes the design of the computer. Lists the standard and optional
features.

GETTING STARTED
Explains how to set up the basic system and start using it. You might need
specific information from other sources, such as operating system manuals or
books, application software manuals, and monitor owner's guides.

INSTALLING OPTIONAL HARDWARE
Directs you through installing several optional features.

UTILITIES DISKETTE
Explains how to use the various utility programs on the Utilities Diskette.
You will use the Setup utility any time you install or remove a video display
adapter, an optional diskette drive or hard disk drive, or additional memory.

TROUBLESHOOTING CHECKLISTS
Lists some common problems and possible solutions.

The following sections of this manual provide technical information for
advanced users.

VGA ADAPTER
Details the operation of the VGA video adapter. Most new software can be run
in the adapter's default configuration. If necessary, however, the vga.exe
utility on the Utilities Diskette can be used to make the VGA adapter emulate
a different video standard. The last sections of the manual are the system 
specifications and the system worksheet.

SPECIFICATIONS
Lists specifications for the system unit, environment, peripheral interfaces,
and diskette drive.

WORKSHEETS
Provides spaces for you to record your keylock number, total amount of memory, 
and other system configuration information. Refer to the worksheet when 
changing configuration settings.
