1 MB Memory Module (25-3507)

Memory Upgrade and Management Information:

Note: The 3810HD comes with 1MB of memory installed, you can expand the 
      memory by 2MB for a total of 3MB. Or you can add 4MB for a total of 
      5MB.

CAUTIONS:

*   Use only the specified SIMMs (Cat.No. 25-3507) with your computer.
*   Do not drop foreign materials such as a paper clip into the opening. A
    short circuit can seriously damage your computer.

Use the following procedure to install a SIMM:

1.  Disable the computer's Resume function and turn off the computer.
2.  Find the compartment cover near the top row of keys.  Then, lift up on
    the front edge of the cover.
3.  Install a SIMM card into a slot by tilting the board away from you. Then,
    tilt the board back towards you until it snaps into position.
4.  To install an additional 2MB of memory, install SIMMs into slots CN1 and
    CN2. To install 4MB of memory, install SIMMs into slots CN1, CN2, CN3,
    and CN4.
5.  Replace the cover. Then, turn on the computer.
6.  Install the temm3810.sys file device driver using the MS-DOS Edlin
    command or some other text editor to place the following line in the
    config.sys file. For more information on this utility refer to your
    User's Manual.

    device=c:\dos\temm3810.sys/M=n

The amount of memory (RAM) you specify in the /M=n parameter of the device
driver depends on the amount of extended RAM available in your computer.

As your computer comes from the factory the Shadow RAM is disabled. This
allows you to use the memory between 640K and 1 MB as extended memory or
convert it to expanded memory. If you install additional memory for a total
of 3 MB or 5 MB, you can use the memory above 1 MB as extended or expanded
memory, regardless of the Shadow RAM setting.

you have the standard 1 MB system and have enabled Shadow RAM.
