Features found in a full-sized desktop computer are standard in this single 
portable unit:

* An 80C286-12 CPU:

Operates at 12 or 6 MHz. The 80C286 is an 80286 CPU that takes advantage of 
a special low energy circuit technology.

* 1 MB of memory, expandable to 2 MB:

Enables you to configure your computer with the amount of memory that best 
fits your needs.

* 20 MB hard disk drive:

Provides convenient data storage, easy startups, and a fast way to load and 
save files.

* High-capacity, 3 1/2" diskette drive:

Lets you store up to 1.44 MB of information on a lightweight, durable 
diskette that easily fits into your pocket.

* Full-sized, Flip-up EGA display:

Offers a 640 x 400 dot resolution that is compatible with the EGA standard. 
A backlight brightens the display, which offers a total of 16 hatching 
patterns and gray scales. The 11 1/4" display is nearly as large as many 
external monitors.

* Built-in 84-key enhanced keyboard:

Includes function keys, direction keys, and various cursor control keys, in 
addition to the standard typewriter keys.

* DeskMate, MS-DOS, and GW-BASIC on the hard drive:

When you start up the computer, you automatically enter into DeskMate and 
can choose from several applications that let you perform tasks such as 
word processing, drawing, spreadsheet calculation, modem operation, and 
filing. You can change the startup environment from DeskMate to MS-DOS. For 
users who wish to learn BASIC, we recommend Learning BASIC for Tandy 
Computers by Dr. David Lien (25-1500).

* External EGA/CGA monitor support:

Lets you add a color display simply by plugging an EGA/CGA monitor into the 
connector on the back of the computer.

* Built-in keyboard connector:

Lets you easily connect an optional 101-key enhanced AT keyboard.

* Built-in serial port:

Lets you connect a serial mouse or other standard serial device.

* Built-in parallel port:

Lets you connect a parallel printer or other standard parallel device.

* Lightweight and compact:

Weighs only 12.5 lbs. This computer is comfortable to hold on your lap. It 
also uses less desk space than most desktop computers and is easy to carry, 
using the fold-away handle.

* Power-saving features:

Conserve battery power by shutting off various built-in components (such as 
the video display and the hard drive) during periods of inactivity.
