A serial mouse, fax, external modem, or another serial device may be 
connected to the computer's built-in serial port. 

To install a serial device:

1. Prepare the serial device according to its owner's manual.

2. Turn off the computer.

3. Turn around the computer so that the back panel is facing you.

4. Press down the latch for the serial/parallel compartment.

5. Connect the serial cable's DB-9 connector to the small connector in the
   compartment.
