Note: On the 1200 HD a 10 meg internal hard drive can not be replaced with
a 20 meg internal hard drive. The controller only supports a 10 meg drive.
The controller must be replaced if a 20 meg drive is to be used.

The following is the procedure to properly format the Hard Drive:
 
Type:        LLFDFMT  press <ENTER>

Response:    LOW LEVEL FIXED DISK FORMAT UTILITY, VERSION X.X
             ALL DATA ON THE FIXED DISK WILL BE DESTROYED

Type:        Y  press <ENTER>

Response:    WHICH FIXED DISK TO FORMAT(C OR D)?

Type:        C  press <ENTER>

Response:    PRESS ANY KEY WHEN READY(CONTROL-C TO ABORT)

Type:        <ENTER>

Response:    FORMATTING FIXED DISK (ALLOW ONE HOUR TO COMPLETE)

Response:    FORMAT COMPLETE
             ARE THERE ANY AREAS TO MANUALLY DELETE(Y OR N)

Type         N  press <ENTER>

Response:    FORMAT COMPLETE RETURNING TO DOS A>

Type         Part  press  <ENTER>

Response:    MENU APPEARS

Type:        4  press  <ENTER> 

Response:    CREATE DOS PARTITION

Reboot the System with the MS-DOS disk in Drive A:

At the A> Prompt Type:  FORMAT      C:/S/F  press  <ENTER>

RESPONSE:    HIT ANY KEY TO BEGIN FORMATTING. FORMAT COMPLETED

Your Hard Drive is now ready for use.
