You can add several internal options to your Tandy 1400 HD, such as:

* A math coprocessor
* An internal modem board

CAUTION: Before installing or removing an optional board in your Tandy 1400
HD, turn off the system, and disconnect the Ac adapter. Installing or
removing a board with the power on can damage the option board as well as 
the main logic board.

If you wish to add a math coprocessor or hard disk drive kit, it must be
installed by a qualified service technician. (See your local Radio Shack 
store or computer center.)

Installing an Internal Modem Board:

The slot for the optional internal modem board is located on the right side 
of the rear panel. To install a board, follow these steps:

1. Turn off the power switch, and unplug the AC adapter.
2. Loosen the screws that hold the slot cover and remove the cover.
3. Insert the internal modem board in the slot with the component side of 
   the board facing up.
4. Secure the modem with the two screws previously removed from the slot
   cover.
