The Memory PLUS Expansion Board for your Tandy 1000 series Computer lets you
add up to 512K of additional random access memory. As shipped, the Memory
PLUS Expansion Board provides an additional 256K of memory, bringing your
computer memory capacity to 384K. Later, you may purchase a 256K RAM
Expansion Kit, 250-1079 which when installed, brings the system total to a
full 640K.

It includes a Direct Memory. Access Controller (DMA).

The advantage of the Memory PLUS Expansion Board is that you can expand your
Tandy 1000 up to 640K system with RS-232 or Mouse capability and only use up
one slot. Previously, this would have required three option slots.

This Memory PLUS Expansion Board has the ability to support and provide
operation to a satellite board such as the RS-232 PLUS Upgrade Board or the
Mouse Controller/Calendar PLUS Upgrade Board. These and similar PLUS Upgrade
boards plug into a special edge connector on the Memory PLUS Expansion Board.
Then, you install the two boards as one. This piggy-back feature also lets
you save slots for other devices.
