The 256K Memory board is a multi-functional option board for the 1000
computer. It has a Direct Memory Access Controller included. The board allows
four options for upgrading the memory. For the initial upgrade the board is
populated with the DMA chip and two or four rows of RAM. (128K to 256K of
memory.)

A second board without the DMA chip can be added to the system to expand the
total memory to 512K or 640K. (Two or four rows of RAM.)
